Want to make people angry?

"You know, I don't really like Dave Mathews Band."

Try it for real. You'll quickly see how exactly that turns out.

It isn't pretty.

But anyways, what exactly is everyones fascination with this band? I redeemed myself that day by saying I enjoyed Satellite, especially the acapella version ot it. But still, there is some deep rooted nature that people must love this band. This rootedness goes along with Weezer and Foo Fighters (more fighting words: Not a big fan of them either, well I haven't listened to much Foo Fighters). So, I bit the bullet and let a friend loan me "Stand Up" DMBs newest album. Now, the reviews on this are mixed. People either love it or spend an hour proclaiming how it isn't really Dave. So I listened to it. And you know what? I wasn't impressed. Not at all. It's cheesy, a bit fake lyrics wise and very very mixed. I liked American Baby, but only because it was played ad nasium on MTV, and I only like the harmony on the chorus. So, in short, I don't get it. Explain it to me if you will.

Something about Dallas and new cds. But to my good graces - I only spent 20 bucks and got several cds for it. I am the bargain cd shopper!
