Murdock!
Meet Murdock - our newest edition to the Zoo. He's a big beautiful dog. He's a double merle collie (a lassie), however, because of this inbreeding he's totally deaf and somewhat blind. Mostly the blindness presents itself when it's dark or when things have a lot of depth. He's slightly afraid of our steps, but standing by him helps. He's huge! He comes up to your knees and his head is by your waist. He's about 70-80 pounds (glad I lift weights). Most of that is fur though.
Things I have learned about how awesome he is:
He's very playful. He plays like a cat would. He uses his paws to bat at things and will try and paw you like a cat if you are playing with him.
He's also very chill. He mostly just hangs out on the floor, while Hayden (our husky) will pace like crazy.
He snores and makes big sighing noises.
He barks like a big dog, especially when he wants to play.
He's basically an albino (which is why his skin is so pink and eyes are red).
Fur. Enough said. Lots of fur.
He smacks his food after eating. Like somebody would smack bubble gum.
Watching and hayden play is about the funniest thing ever. He tries to herd her and she tries to bite his fur.
