Something depressing:

The Humane Society here in Oxford has a euthanization rate of 80 percent. EIGHTY percent. That's nearly every animal who comes in there. I nearly died when I heard that. I cried a little. So horrible. Only 2 percent are ever returned to their owners. Hold on to your kitties! :(
